P-DUB

Give yourself a pat on the back if you know who I’m referring to in the title of this post.

Congratulations. We have something in common.

For those of you unfortunate souls, I’m referring to The Pioneer Woman.

I know what you’re thinking…

You’re wrong.

Not that kind of pioneer, but she literally is a pioneer… in the world of blogging. I’m pretty sure she is the reason at least half of the {blogiverse} exists.

I’m just going to go ahead and apologize now. I’m sorry if I talk about her a lot; she’s just really cool. There, you’ve been warned.

Maybe I’m making very bold statements here. Okay……. I may be exaggerating a smidge, but I never promised to be 100% truthful in my reporting. Only somewhat accurate reporting here.

Phew, got that off my chest. I feel better now.

To get the point of the post, I wrote a couple of blog posts for my super cool book club’s blog, that just happened to be about PW’s incredible book, Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. So I thought I’d share it with y’all. you all. you guys. yous guys… each and every one of you.

WARNING – SOAPBOX: I feel as though we Southerners are at a little disadvantage here. And by here, I mean formal writing. You see, it feels completely natural to say y’all in spoken conversation. Don’ ask me why… It just feels right. But my gut [gross] is telling me that y’all is not right when it comes to correct grammar. You yanks don’t know just how fortunate y’all are! Okay, I’m done.

Anyways, hope you enjoy! Peace, homes.

something like that…

In all the years of life, this past one has been one of the most eye-opening for me. I’ve learned things about myself and about others that can only come through certain circumstances.

I’ve also decided to start living life in the moment, with a reckless abandon. With passion.

So that’s what brings me here. Life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. Or something like that.
